Why did you start your own practice?

She founded Ledgerwood Law in 2005, beginning with shared office space in Sunnyvale before establishing her practice in San Jose. Starting her own firm gave her the independence to balance purpose and family while building a legal practice on her terms.
What is your approach to divorce representation?
“I do what I can to make the divorce less traumatic while still advocating for my clients,” she says. Ledgerwood focuses on being direct and organized with clients while offering support through one of the most difficult experiences in their lives. How do you help children during divorce?
“I want the kids I represent to know that they are loved and wanted, even though their parents are at an impasse. To be wanted is valuable and they can cherish that,” Ledgerwood says.
